1 Senior Cloud & Automation Engineer

Overview The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has a requirement for a Cloud Solutions Engineer to provide planning, development and implementation services in support of the Department's adoption of Software, Platform and Infrastructure "as a service" offerings. The Department is adopting a hybrid, multi-cloud environment, comprising a mix of service providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce and other enterprise on-premises services. The Role The focus of this role will be working in a team designing and implementing the Department's solution centric Azure capabilities and deploying key strategic applications into that environment. The broader focus of the role will require the successful candidate to exhibit a range of skills and experience supporting modern, large and complex federal government departments, both cloud and on-premises, with a focus on automation and security. Role Requirements SFIA Role Category and Skills Level: Delivery and Operation - Technology Management - IT Infrastructure (ITOP) - Level 4 Security Clearance: Minimum NV1 clearance, with NV2 preferred. Candidates must be willing and have capacity to commit to an NV2 upgrade if necessary Contract Terms and Conditions Sellers must acknowledge that DFAT has a contractor stand-down period within December and January each year Duration of the stand-down is at DFAT's discretion and usually for a period of 4 to 6 weeks Instructions to Respondents A merit list may be created from the shortlisted and interviewed candidates based on their performance and DFAT requirements.
