5 Business Analysts

This Tender is invited by the Issuer. Overview The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is seeking multiple ICT labour-hire resources to fill Business Analyst roles. The requirement sits within the Business Engagement and Design Section of the Digital and Service Delivery Branch, part of DFAT's Information Management and Technology Division. The Role The Business Analyst roles are critical to project success, informing project scope and planning. The scope of work includes: Analysis and design work supporting successful business outcomes Production of business analysis artefacts, including business requirements documents, functional and non-functional requirements documents, and user stories Business and systems rules analysis and mapping Development of BPMN models Benefits articulation and measurement Engagement and collaboration with business, technical staff (including testers, developers, and architects), and management stakeholders Working within project approaches that may vary from waterfall to iterative development, including Scrum, Kanban, model-driven design, and similar tools and methods Working in a collaborative way using standardised approaches and templates across the IT Division, with all products published on the division's collaboration platform and records management tool Role Requirements Relevant industry certifications and experience in the Business Analyst field A proven record of accomplishment in the analysis and design of successful business outcomes and strong client engagement Demonstrable experience in producing a range of BA artefacts, including business, functional and non-functional requirements documents, user stories, business and systems rules analysis and mapping, BPMN models, and benefits articulation and measurement Data modelling experience (desirable) Strong customer engagement and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with business, technical, and management stakeholders Innovative thinking and the ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change and continuous improvement Experience with products such as DevOps and building requirements traceability for projects (highly desirable) Enquiries Buyer contact: spt@dfat.gov.au
