Accessibility advisory services for AWM website project
Tender Overview
About this tender
This Tender is invited by the Issuer. Overview The Australian War Memorial is seeking a specialist accessibility firm to audit the new AWM website, confirm that audit findings have been addressed, and provide on-demand advisory support to the build team as design and development decisions are made. Scope The engagement has three parts: A full accessibility audit of the site once built, ahead of public release A follow-up review that checks the audit findings were correctly addressed and confirms the site meets the required standard On-demand consultation hours the team can draw on for specific design and build questions as they arise, available for the life of the contract Stage 1: Pre-launch accessibility audit A full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance audit of the built site, prior to public release. The deliverable is a written report identifying issues, their severity, the relevant WCAG success criteria, and remediation guidance the build team can act on. Stage 2: Post-remediation verification A follow-up review confirming the Stage 1 findings have been correctly addressed, and a statement on whether the site meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Public launch is planned for February 2027 and does not depend on this report; Stage 2 provides the documented confirmation of compliance the project needs, landing at or close to launch. Ongoing: On-demand specialist consultation A pool of consulting hours the team can draw on by appointment, for specific accessibility questions that come up during design and build, for example reviewing a proposed interaction pattern or component before it is built, rather than finding the problem at audit stage. Available from contract signing through to the end of the engagement. Enquiries Buyer contact: tenders@awm.gov.au
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
