About this tender
Overview The Campus Environment (CE) Division, on behalf of the Australian National University (the University), is issuing this Request for Tender (RFT) to procure linen and cleaning services for the ANU Kioloa Coastal Campus (Kioloa). About Kioloa Coastal Campus has been the Australian National University's coastal field station since 1975, situated on Country of the Murramarang people. The station lies within easy driving distance of Canberra (2.5 hours), Wollongong (2.5 hours) and Sydney (3.5 hours). Kioloa is a remote field-based teaching and accommodation facility with significant fluctuations in guest occupancy throughout the year. Demand can increase or decrease rapidly depending on short notice bookings, large group arrivals and departures, and academic or research events. Purpose Through this procurement, the University is looking to engage a cleaning contractor capable of meeting the updated operating model: 15 baseline hours per week, scalable upward based on demand, with deep cleaning activities delivered during low occupancy periods. Scope The scope includes: Provision of linen and cleaning services for ANU Kioloa Coastal Campus Cleaning of accommodation, including cottages and dormitories Cleaning of the London Shed multipurpose building Cleaning of teaching and research spaces Cleaning of amenities and common areas Delivery of a baseline of 15 cleaning hours per week, scalable upward according to demand Delivery of deep cleaning activities during low occupancy periods Contractor Requirements Local capacity to service the Kioloa site Familiarity with the Kioloa site Ability to adjust cleaning hours according to fluctuations in occupancy Contract Terms and Conditions Proposed initial contract term of 3 years Option to extend by 2 further one year periods, at the discretion of the University
