About this tender
Overview The Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CACGEL) is seeking proposals from suitably qualified telecommunications providers for the provision of a managed fixed telephone service for its schools and colleges across the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales. About CACGEL currently maintains telephony services through multiple providers and billing arrangements that have evolved over time at an individual school level. The proposed service will consolidate these arrangements into a single enterprise-managed service model with central oversight by CACGEL ICT and Finance. Purpose The objective of this procurement is to establish a single, centrally managed telephony service that replaces the current fragmented environment of fixed-line, PBX and hosted voice services currently operated across CACGEL schools and colleges. Scope The scope includes: ACT and NSW schools and colleges operated by CACGEL Fixed telephone services associated with those schools and colleges Existing telephone numbers, handsets and services supporting school operations Exclusions The scope of the engagement excludes: Archdiocesan Schools Office (ASO) location Mobile telephony services Home internet or consumer telecommunications services Objectives The desired future state is a modern cloud-based telephony service that: Supports the operational requirements of schools and colleges Preserves existing school telephone numbers Provides reliable inbound and outbound calling services Supports reception, administrative, executive, classroom and shared-area telephony requirements Leverages CACGEL's existing SD-WAN infrastructure, including gigabit fibre connectivity and automated Starlink failover services Provides a clearly defined support model, service levels and escalation pathways Enables standardisation of telephony services across the school system Reduces administrative overhead associated with managing multiple providers, contracts and billing arrangements Instructions to Tenderers Respondents wishing to participate in this RFQ must complete 'Schedule 2' and provide their response before the closing time.
