Overview Tamworth Regional Council is calling for expressions of interest from roaming entertainers and non-music buskers to perform as part of the Country Fringe program at the 2027 Tamworth Country Music Festival. About The Tamworth Country Music Festival has brought back Country Fringe over the last couple of years. Country Fringe is inclusive and accessible programming that has performance happening on the streets of Tamworth throughout the Festival. Eligibility A Roaming Entertainer / Non-Music busker is any person, other than a music busker, that provides entertainment for an audience and solicits funds in return for the entertainment. Entertainment can be roaming or static and can include a demonstration performance or display. The entertainment must be of a spontaneous nature and must not involve the installation of a structure of any kind The entertainment must be suitable for a family friendly event To apply for a roaming entertainer permit/non-music busker permit, applicants must fit the description above. If an applicant does not fit this description, they will not be eligible for a roaming entertainer's permit How to Apply 2027 Tamworth Country Music Festival Key Dates Festival Dates: Friday 15 January to Sunday 24 January 2027 Festival Roaming Entertainer Times: 9am to 10pm daily for the ten days of the festival Country Music Parade: 9am to 10:30am Saturday 23 January 2027 Application Dates Applications open: Wednesday 19 August 2026 at 9am Applications close: Tuesday 1 December 2026 All fields marked with an asterisk (*) on the application form are mandatory.
