Overview The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking 3 x EL1 Backend API Developers (Labour Hire) to design, develop and support the digital platform services and consumer APIs that power the NDIA's web applications, portals and mobile applications. The Role Working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team, the Backend API Developer will develop secure, scalable and reliable services that provide a consistent integration layer between digital channels and enterprise platforms, including Salesforce and MuleSoft-based services. The successful candidate will be expected to use AI-assisted software development as a primary delivery mechanism, leveraging contemporary AI tools to accelerate implementation, testing, documentation and troubleshooting while maintaining accountability for the quality, security and maintainability of the resulting solution. Role Requirements Strong backend engineering knowledge, including the ability to review, validate and improve AI-generated code and technical outputs Proposed rate should reflect the candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria; candidates who do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed Rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process Eligibility NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only; successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted Tender Briefing A supplier briefing will be held for this role.
