BSC - Aerodrome Runway and Taxiway Pavement Renewal, Resealing and Line Marking

Overview Balranald Shire Council invites quotations from suitably qualified contractors for the assessment, surface correction, resealing and remarking of the sealed runway and taxiway at Balranald Aerodrome. About The aerodrome's runway and taxiway have undergone periodic crack sealing over recent years. Council has identified surface irregularities, rough ride characteristics and localised water ponding requiring investigation and treatment. Purpose The objective of this project is to improve pavement condition, rectify ride quality concerns, address localised ponding issues where practical, extend pavement life and reinstate all required aerodrome markings in accordance with applicable aviation standards. Scope The scope includes: Assessment of the sealed runway and taxiway pavement at Balranald Aerodrome Surface correction works to the runway and taxiway pavement Resealing of the runway and taxiway Remarking of the runway and taxiway, with reinstatement of all required aerodrome markings in accordance with Part 139 (Aerodromes) Manual of Standards 2020 and relevant guidance material issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Contractor Requirements Contractors must be suitably qualified to undertake aerodrome pavement assessment, surface correction, resealing and remarking works
