EOI: CESPHN Aged Care Advisory Committee

Overview Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (CESPHN) is inviting Expressions of Interest from General Practitioners to fill two vacancies on the CESPHN Aged Care Advisory Committee. CESPHN is seeking GPs who are passionate about aged care and primary healthcare reform to contribute clinical expertise and practical experience to help shape aged care initiatives across the Central and Eastern Sydney region. About The CESPHN Aged Care Advisory Committee is a small committee that brings together aged care clinicians to provide advice on matters impacting the health and wellbeing of older people. Committee members play an important role in providing advice, identifying emerging issues, and supporting improvements in the delivery of quality integrated care for older people. As a small advisory committee, members have a genuine opportunity to influence discussions, contribute their expertise, and help shape CESPHN's approach to aged care service improvement and workforce development. Objectives The Committee supports CESPHN to: Identify emerging issues and opportunities within aged care and primary healthcare Improve integration between general practice, residential aged care homes, community aged care services and hospitals Inform service planning, program development and quality improvement initiatives Support implementation of aged care reforms and evidence-based models of care Promote clinical leadership, innovation and workforce development across the sector The Role Committee meetings run for one hour, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, approximately every 7 weeks Format: Virtual meetings held via TEAMS Eligibility Applications are welcomed from GPs who: Have experience caring for older people in community, residential aged care, or integrated care settings Have an interest in aged care reform, quality improvement and health system innovation Are keen to contribute advice and practical clinical perspectives Can represent the views and challenges experienced by GPs providing care to older people Are committed to improving health outcomes for older people across the CESPHN region How to Apply Interested GPs are invited to submit a brief statement of interest outlining their experience in aged care and their interest in joining the Committee.
