About this tender
Overview The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is inviting applications from tour organisers for GRDC support for Grower and Advisor Study Tours, Round 2, 2026. Purpose GRDC recognises the value of grower, researcher and industry engagement. A well-planned study tour can provide lessons on issues relevant to participants and accelerate the uptake of research and development (R&D) outputs, ultimately improving the profitability and sustainability of grain-growing operations. GRDC encourages tour organisers who share this desire to see growers improve their knowledge, skills and networks through a study tour to apply for GRDC support. Objectives Through their application, organisers will need to demonstrate how GRDC sponsorship will: Deliver value for GRDC and the broader Australian grains industry and community Promote innovation in grains RD&E Value-add or complement existing GRDC activities Applicants should presume evaluators have no prior knowledge of their group, the issues they seek to understand, or the people and places they plan to visit. Applicants should not expect that a conversation with a GRDC staff member means evaluators will have the context or background for the application. Eligibility GRDC will also consider the following when reviewing applications: Value for money: at least 50% of the total travel costs should be contributed by participants/tour organisers Regional representation to ensure equity in opportunity, support, and benefit across each of GRDC's regions Makeup of the tour group, including the number of grain growers, advisers, and the diversity of the tour group Contract Terms and Conditions Offer period Offers will remain open for acceptance by GRDC for a period of 6 months after the Closing Time Enquiries Document contact and enquiries: Attention: Linda Mcdougall Organisation: Grains Research and Development Corporation Email: linda.mcdougall@grdc.com.au All requests for further information or clarification in relation to this procurement must be made in writing (email) prior to 23 October 2026.
