OMPS is requesting an expression of interest to procure suitably capable, qualified businesses who are capable of supplying Electro-mechancial Works for the OMPS project. This Electro-mechancial Works package reflects a water-to-wire supply of the electro-mechancial equipment for the Oven Mountain Project. The package includes the design, optimisation, manufacture, supply and commissioning of the equipment, interfacing with a civil contractor. The key critical mechanical/electrical equipment are three identical fixed speed, reversible pump-turbines and motor-generators which are to produce output power capacity of up to 900 MW for up to 12 hours. Other significant mechanical and electrical infrastructure included in this work package includes: Main inlet valves; Steel penstocks/bifurcations/manifolds; Transformers; Switchgear and Switchyard Equipment; Low Voltage Power Supplies; Power Station Earthing and Lightning Protection; Fire Protection Equipment. Control, Instrumentation and Protection; and Communication and Data Transmission Equipment.
