minimum of 2 Senior Solution Architect

Overview Services Australia is seeking to engage a minimum of two Senior Solution Architects, procured as Senior Cloud Engineers (experts) with demonstrable experience in AI platforms, to provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of systems and software to solve business problems across the Technology and Digital Program (TDP) Group. Purpose The role is intended to play a pivotal part in delivering complex application development projects on public cloud platforms across the TDP Group, in alignment with the agency's strategic objectives, and to ensure Services Australia effectively leverages technology to enhance service delivery and meet the needs of the community. The Role The role includes: Specialising in either AWS or Azure public cloud platforms Designing, implementing, and optimising cloud environments across new (greenfield) implementations and existing (brownfield) setups Building secure-by-design architectures incorporating reusable patterns and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deliver scalable, compliant cloud solutions in line with APS frameworks and regulations Collaborating with Architecture, Cyber Security, and Core Infrastructure teams to establish foundational cloud platform capability and frameworks Enforcing governance and applying best practices across networking and resource management within the primary platform, while demonstrating skills in both AWS and Azure Operating with a significant degree of independence and a high level of autonomy while maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders and strict adherence to agency processes and procedures Identifying and driving innovation and managing and leading change Contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction, with decision-making and advice to others highly dependent on own judgement Developing, describing, presenting, and influencing outcomes and findings across various forums Role Requirements Extensive experience and expertise in Public Cloud Services, including cloud-based AI workload migrations and deployment Demonstrable experience with AI platforms Capability to design, implement, and optimise cloud environments across greenfield and brownfield implementations Skills in both AWS and Azure, with specialisation in one as the primary platform Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills in a collaborative environment
