North Coast Local Land Services Pest Animal Contractors Panel

Overview North Coast Local Land Services (NCLLS) is establishing a Pest Animal Contractors Panel to provide a reliable and qualified pool of service providers to deliver pest animal management programs across the North Coast region. The panel will support the delivery of strategic pest animal control activities on public and private land, contributing to improved biosecurity, agricultural productivity, environmental protection and community outcomes. The panel arrangement will enable NCLLS to engage suitably qualified contractors in a timely and cost-effective manner to respond to emerging pest animal issues and deliver targeted management programs. Objectives The expected outcomes of the project are: Improved coordination and efficiency in pest animal management Reduced impacts of pest species on agriculture and natural assets Enhanced capacity to deliver regional pest management priorities Strengthened partnerships with landholders and stakeholders across the North Coast region Scope Panel members may be engaged to deliver a range of pest animal management activities, including but not limited to: Planning and implementation of pest animal control programs Ground and aerial baiting programs (where appropriately licensed and authorised) Trapping, shooting and other approved control methods Monitoring, surveillance and assessment of pest animal populations and impacts Data collection, record keeping and reporting on works undertaken Landholder liaison and stakeholder engagement Supply of labour, equipment, materials and consumables necessary to undertake the services Services may be required across a variety of landscapes, including agricultural land, conservation areas, public land and other locations within the North Coast Local Land Services region. Contractor Requirements Demonstrated appropriate experience, qualifications and licences relevant to pest animal management Commitment to safe and environmentally responsible work practices Capability to operate safely in remote and challenging environments Appropriate qualifications, licences, insurances and work health and safety systems Compliance with relevant legislation, permits, biosecurity requirements and industry best practice standards Instructions to Tenderers The panel will be used to procure pest animal management services for projects of varying scale and complexity over the term of the arrangement. Inclusion on the panel does not guarantee any work. NCLLS will engage panel members based on project requirements, contractor capability, location, availability and value for money considerations.
