About this tender
Overview The Department of Defence is issuing a notice for an upcoming Request for Proposal to establish the Operational Energy Transitions Defence Research Centre (OET DRC). The OET DRC will conduct research contributing to the realisation of the Defence Future Energy Strategy. About Defence Research Centres (DRCs) provide a method to build scale and focus in the Defence IS&T ecosystem to tackle strategically important enduring themes aligned with National Defence priorities. DRCs bring Defence, universities and broader industry together in a secure research environment to expand the capacity and efficiency of the national R&D development base, with appropriate safeguards in place for sensitive data, systems and intellectual property. Purpose The OET DRC will conduct research that contributes to the realisation of the Defence Future Energy Strategy. Scope The scope includes: Selection of a lead partner for the Operational Energy Transitions DRC Selection and commencement of research projects aligned to Defence's Operational Energy Transition challenges Instructions to Tenderers Further information on this upcoming RFP will be made available in the near future. Other Instructions This is a notice for an upcoming Request For Proposal only. The decision to submit a response is a matter for your company. You are under no obligation to respond and any response is submitted on a voluntary basis. The Commonwealth will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by any respondent in preparation or lodgement of a response or taking part in the Request For Proposal process.
