About this tender

Overview Federation Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to reline the raw water suction main at the Netherby Street Pump Station, located off Lone Pine Avenue in Corowa. The existing 425mm cast iron suction line, dating back to the original 1923 and 1946 installations, is currently showing signs of leakage and requires relining to restore structural integrity and prevent pump cavitation. Scope The scope includes: Mechanical disassembly of the existing pipework Descaling of the suction line in preparation for relining Installation of a specialised vacuum-rated structural liner Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified and experienced in relining suction mains and similar water infrastructure Capable of providing a high-level engineering solution that ensures a 30-year service life, given the asset operates under negative pressure and is located within a deep dry well and river-intake tunnel Capable of undertaking craneage and confined space operations within the critical tolerances required by the existing infrastructure Site Inspection A mandatory site inspection is required prior to quote submission to verify site access, internal pipe configurations and lifting corridors, due to the age of the infrastructure and the critical tolerances required for craneage and confined space operations.

How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
