Overview The Hills Shire Council is seeking a contractor to deliver a new local park and playground at Stockhorse Reserve for the surrounding residential area under this Request for Tender (RFT). Scope The scope of works includes delivery of a new local park and playground, including a playground, seating, shelters, landscaped gardens, and associated civil and landscape works. General Provide all labour, plant, materials and incidentals necessary to complete the civil works, including: Site establishment and preliminary works Traffic and pedestrian management Survey set-out of works Supervision of geotechnical testing Temporary fencing and site security Required insurances Work-as-executed (WAE) survey and documentation Site Clearing and Sediment Control Implement and maintain erosion and sediment control measures for the duration of the works Undertake clearing and grubbing as required to facilitate construction Earthworks Strip topsoil from nominated regrading areas and stockpile on site Carry out cut-to-fill earthworks as required Re-spread and reblend stockpiled topsoil in turf areas following completion of earthworks Stormwater Drainage Construct all stormwater drainage infrastructure, including drainage located behind retaining walls, in accordance with the civil drawings Subsoil Drainage Construct all subsoil drainage systems in accordance with the civil drawings, unless otherwise specified as part of optional items Pavements Construct all pavements in accordance with the civil and landscape drawings and details, unless otherwise specified as part of optional items Kerbing and Access Works Construct concrete edge strips, pram ramps and associated concrete works as shown on the civil and landscape drawings Remove existing kerb and gutter and construct vehicle layback crossings as shown on the drawings Utilities Supply and install water services and associated infrastructure in accordance with the civil and landscape drawings Soilworks Cultivate the prepared subgrade and incorporate gypsum as required to condition the soil for all planting areas and turf underlay areas, in accordance with the landscape plans and relevant specification requirements Softworks Supply and installation of turf, mass planting (including 100L, 75L, 150mm and 120mm pots), mulch, street trees with timber tree guards, and steel edging, as shown on the landscape plans Tree planting and associated steel edging within turf areas adjacent to the playground and within garden beds, undertaken in accordance with the landscape plans and planting details Playground Works Provide all labour, materials, equipment, footings, certifications (including independent playground inspection report) and associated works required for construction of the playground in accordance with the landscape drawings and manufacturer's requirements Furniture and Park Infrastructure Supply and install all site furniture and park infrastructure in accordance with the landscape drawings, including: Park signage Picnic shelters Seats and benches Table and seat settings Sandstone log seating Steel bollards Water station and drinking fountain Waste bins Any associated footings, fixings and concrete works required for installation Optional Items There are also Optional Items to be quoted on, including an alternate play unit, shade sails over the play unit, and a multipurpose court and associated landscape elements. 1. Multipurpose Court Where the multipurpose court is installed within the project scope, optional works include: All associated works to construct the multipurpose court and surrounds, including but not limited to pavement, linemarking, subsurface drainage, fencing, surrounding plantings, seating and bike racks, as per the civil and landscape plans Where the multipurpose court is not installed within the project scope, optional works include: Supply and install trees in accordance with Planting Detail A, Street Tree and Tree Guard Omit the concrete pathway connection between the multipurpose court and the internal pathway network and provide turf in lieu of the pathway Supply and install turf to the location of the multipurpose court 2. Playground Unit Approved softfall mulch to the majority of the playground and softfall rubber surfacing to high-impact and high-traffic areas only, with estimated quantities provided in the Bill of Quantities Adventurer Tower play unit as an alternative to the Banff Tower 3. Shade Sails Supply and install shade sails and posts as per the landscape plans, including relevant engineer certification for poles Contract Terms and Conditions The Contractor shall provide a fifty-two (52) week establishment and maintenance period for all trees, garden areas and turf
