Overview Camden Council invites tenders for the supply and delivery of a portable Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) Barrier System. About Camden Council conducts and supports a range of community events, festivals, ceremonies, markets and civic activities which require temporary road closures and crowd protection measures. The portable HVM barriers will primarily be deployed by Council staff during temporary road closures, public events and emergency situations. Purpose To enhance public safety and supplement existing traffic management arrangements, Council intends to procure a portable HVM barrier system that can be rapidly deployed and retrieved by Council personnel. Scope The scope includes: Supply and delivery of a portable HVM barrier system for temporary deployment at multiple locations within the Camden LGA Provision of protection for approximately 100 linear metres of road closure frontage Delivery of the barriers and associated storage equipment to Camden Council Works Depot, 5 Millwood Avenue, Narellan NSW 2567 Capability for repeated deployment, transportation and storage while maintaining certified impact performance and operational efficiency A barrier system that minimises deployment and retrieval times and can be efficiently stored, transported and operated without specialist equipment Information Requested Tenderers shall provide pricing based on the quantity of portable HVM barriers required, and shall nominate: The effective protected length provided by each barrier unit The total number of barriers required to secure approximately 100 linear metres of road closure frontage The proposed storage and transport arrangement for the nominated quantity of barriers Instructions to Tenderers Council reserves the right to adjust quantities at the time of award.
