Overview Central Desert Regional Council is seeking a contractor to carry out upgrade works at the Atitjere Aged Care Centre. About Atitjere is a vibrant community about 215 km from Alice Springs, nestled in the Harts Ranges. Home to around 260 people, it is accessible via a fully sealed road along the Plenty Highway. Scope The construction works include, but are not limited to: Supply and installation of two commercial-grade washing machines and two dryers Construction of a new storeroom, including demolition, extension, electrical and associated building works Driveway and associated external works Concrete footpaths and reinforced concrete works Contractor Requirements The contractor shall provide all labour, supervision, materials, plant, equipment, transport and other resources necessary to complete the works All dimensions, quantities and existing site conditions must be verified before materials are ordered or work commences The contractor must protect all existing building elements and services nominated to remain and make good any areas affected by the works Any concealed damage or condition that may change the scope, cost or timeframe must be reported to Council before the affected work proceeds All works must comply with the contract documents, applicable legislation, the National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards, manufacturer requirements and authority requirements
