Overview The Multicultural Grants Program provides migrant and multicultural communities in the Northern Territory with funding for projects or activities that promote social inclusion, community cohesion, and cultural and linguistic diversity. The aim of MGP Quick Response Grants is to offer small, responsive funding to help organise, promote, and deliver cultural events, activities, and festivals – especially those that emerge at short notice or were not previously planned. Projects that will be considered are assessed on how well they meet the following criteria: Assist the community’s knowledge and appreciation of different cultures Foster opportunities for multicultural communities to maintain, develop and express their cultural and linguistic diversity Accessible and can be attended by the broader Northern Territory community Applications open on 1 July and will remain open until 30 April or until funding runs out (whichever occurs first). Applications should be submitted 4 to 6 weeks before the start date of your event. Approved projects must be completed by the end of the relevant financial year. Organisations can apply for a maximum of 2 grants under this stream each financial year. Multiple events should not be combined in one application. A separate application and budget should be submitted for each event. Funding of up to $2,000 is available per application under this grant stream. Who can apply Funding is available to not for profit organisations only.
