Study NT: Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarship – Higher Education (Round 1)

Overview The Department of Trade, Business and Asian Relations (NT), on behalf of the Northern Territory Government, offers the Study NT: Study in Australia's Northern Territory Scholarship to support talented international students who want to study in the Northern Territory of Australia. This round applies to higher education courses. Purpose The scholarships recognise strong academic results, leadership qualities and community involvement. Funding Applications for Round 1 higher education courses will only be accepted during the following period: Round 1: 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026 (for courses commencing between 1 October and 31 December 2026) Students can only receive funding through one program, either the 2026/27 International Student Accommodation Grant or the 2026/27 Study in Australia's Northern Territory Scholarship, not both. Eligibility In making this application, applicants are representing to the Northern Territory Government that: They have applied for and received an offer to study with a Northern Territory education provider (full list of providers available here) They have enrolled into a course that starts between 1 October 2026 and 31 December 2026 They are enrolled into a course that leads to an occupation identified on the Northern Territory Skilled Occupation Priority List (list provided here) They can show a record of academic excellence, leadership and/or community involvement They meet the provider's academic and English entry requirements They must submit their application at least 2 weeks prior to arriving in Australia They are living outside of Australia at the time of applying They are not already living, and have never lived, in the Northern Territory They are not studying with a Northern Territory provider at the time of applying They have received a valid visa (international student visa subclass 500) They do not hold another scholarship (except CDU Global Merit Scholarship) They are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident They are planning to study full-time They understand the Obligations associated with the scholarship Information Requested A Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) must be provided with the application Two recent referee letters, no older than 24 months where possible, must be supplied
