Overview The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is seeking a contractor to provide construction services for the new Tennant Creek S-Band weather radar. Purpose The new S-Band weather radar will provide communities across the Barkly region with more real-time and short-term weather information. The local weather radar will improve road and air travel safety for community members and local emergency services. It will also support agricultural, pastoral, transport and mining industries to better manage the impact of rainfall and other weather events on their businesses.
