2526_02 - Richmond Aerodrome Fencing The scope of works includes the supply and construction of approximately 2,200 metres of animal exclusion chain wire mesh security fencing, incorporating a ground-level apron for preventing animal ingress, and three (3) strands of barbed wire installed at the top of the fence line. Applicants must be able to do the following: • Supply all materials required for the construction of the fencing, with material selections subject to approval by Council prior to purchasing • The fence shall be designed and constructed to achieve a length of approximately 2,200 metres and a height of 2.1 metres including three strands of barbed wire • An animal exclusion system will be installed at the base of the fence, incorporating a ground-level apron consisting of mesh installed at the base of the fence that extends outwards and then buried to prevent animal ingress beneath the fence line • Provision and installation of two (2) steel double access gates. One at each end of the runway to facilitate vehicle entry and maintenance access. All applications will be assessed by Council in accordance with the specified tender evaluation criteria. All contractors will be required to comply with all safety requirements and fill out relevant safety documentation issued by Council for the duration of the works.
