A-4025 - Personal Duress Device The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather detailed market intelligence to inform QAS’s strategy for a potential Personal Duress Solution. This RFI is an exploratory, non-binding process designed to understand the landscape of modern, reliable, and proven solutions available within the Australian market, specifically those deployed in emergency services, healthcare, or similar high-risk environments. Specifically, QAS seeks to: • Gather formal information on the technology options, device types (wearables, apps), and platform capabilities available. • Enhance understanding of the technical possibilities and constraints to assist in future technical requirements development. • Conduct a market analysis to identify capable and experienced suppliers within Queensland and Australia. • Inform decision-making and the development of a sound, evidence-based procurement strategy should a decision to proceed to a formal tender be taken. The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) is seeking information on available solutions for a modern Personal Duress Solution. This solution must be capable of supporting a wide variety of field modalities, operating state-wide in varying connectivity environments, and integrating with key QAS systems for approximately 5,500 users with room to grow.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
