Overview Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking tenders for the temporary land use of Lot 33 Crown Plan DN4084 for the purpose of agistment of livestock. About Lot 33 Crown Plan DN4084 is located on the southern side of Springsure and is approximately 163.89 hectares. Access to the land is via Wealwandangie Road. The area does not contain dams or fixed water, and the reserve is not fenced. Under the Central Highlands Regional Council Planning Scheme 2016, the site is included within the Rural zone, and animal husbandry is considered acceptable development in this instance. Scope Temporary land use for the purpose of agistment of livestock on Lot 33 Crown Plan DN4084 for a period of three years Contract Terms and Conditions The agistment will be for a period of three (3) years The licence fee will be determined by the submission of the Respondent Council will consider the fee amount provided by the Respondent in line with the Local Government Act 2009 sound contracting principles as outlined in section 104 of the Act Contractor Requirements Land Limitations The applicant must provide water for livestock, as the area does not contain dams or fixed water It is the Tenderer's responsibility to ensure boundary and internal fences are adequate before allowing livestock to graze on the land, as the reserve is not fenced Livestock numbers are not to exceed approximately 40 head of cattle or 26 horses at any one time, based on the property area of approximately 163.89 hectares (405 acres) and the adopted stocking rates of 1 head per 10 acres for cattle and 1 head per 15 acres for horses; other livestock will not be considered Biosecurity Act 2004 and Associated Subordinate Legislation The Licensee is responsible for ensuring the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) is updated to reflect the movement of stock on and off the property, with verification provided to council by email: enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au (Attention: Property Services) The Licensee is responsible for ensuring that movement records, such as a National Vendor Declaration (NVD), are kept for stock moving on or off the land, with a copy provided to council by email: enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au (Attention: Property Services) Property Identification Code (PIC) The Licensee is solely responsible for ensuring registration with Biosecurity Queensland as a Registered Business Entity (RBE) against the property's Property Identification Code (PIC) The Licensee must draft and implement a Biosecurity Plan for livestock on the land where required, with a copy provided to council by email: enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au (Attention: Property Services)
