Atherton Cemetery Stormwater Works

Overview Tablelands Regional Council is seeking a contractor to carry out stormwater upgrade works at Atherton Cemetery, including construction of new drains, footpaths and upgrades to existing surfaces in accordance with engineering design plans, specifications, and applicable statutory and construction standards. About The Atherton Cemetery site currently has inefficient drainage and no designated discharge point for stormwater during the wet season. The stormwater upgrade works aim to smooth out site contours and construct adequate drainage to manage nuisance rain occurrences and provide maximum burial ground capacity in upcoming years. The construction scope document is supplied to provide supplementary and supporting information for the Atherton Cemetery Stormwater Upgrade Works. Information contained within the scope document is to be considered in relation to all other tender documents, specifications, contract, and For Construction project drawings. Purpose The objective of the project is to upgrade stormwater handling capacity and improve access around Atherton Cemetery by constructing new drains, footpaths and upgrading the existing surface in accordance with engineering design plans, specifications, and present statutory and construction standards. Scope The scope of works required under the contract generally includes but is not limited to: Contractor's site establishment Traffic management Environmental management Work health and safety Protection of services and private property Vegetation management Erosion and sediment control Demolition work Excavation work Installation of culvert works Installation of footpath Installation of kerb and channel Pavement base, placement and compaction Pavement asphalt works (if ordered) Installation of car parking bays (if ordered) Installation of road furniture and signage Hold points and inspection test plans Any other works that could reasonably be expected to complete the works specified Contract Terms and Conditions The interpretation and definition of terms used within the contract refers to FNQROC and Main Roads Technical Specifications outlined as definitions, or, in their absence, in reference to the relevant part, section or bodies of the documents. "Specification" means the specification referred to in the contract and includes the Scope of Works, the standard specifications attached, and any other standard specification, Australian Standard, or other documents incorporated by reference in the Scope of Works or those standard specifications, and further includes any modification of that specification subsequently directed or whose use has been permitted by the Superintendent (or Principal) pursuant to powers contained in the contract.
