Community Transport Reinvestment 2026

Overview The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety (DFSDSCS) administers the Queensland Community Transport (CT) initiative and is seeking to purchase community transport services in five locations across Queensland. About The Queensland Community Transport initiative forms part of the Queensland Government's ongoing commitment to enabling economic participation, supporting healthy communities, and reducing social isolation for Queenslanders. Community Transport contributes to the department's vision for Thriving Queensland communities, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can participate, are included and resilient, and enjoy high levels of social and economic wellbeing. Community Transport is a key enabler of economic and community participation. It provides a critical service across Queensland, enabling vulnerable and isolated Queenslanders to connect to and access vital services, particularly where other public or private transport infrastructure is in low supply. Purpose The purpose of this procurement activity is to purchase community transport services in the five locations listed. This funding is targeting locations that have been assessed as requiring a service, being areas where there is no current provision. Scope The scope includes provision of community transport services (U1060 Community Members, T520 Community Transport) in the following locations: Noosa Hinterland, Peregian Beach - Marcus Beach, Noosaville, Sunshine Beach, Noosa Heads, Tewantin All or part of North Burnett Region: North Burnett, Agnes Water - Miriam Vale, Monto - Eidsvold, Gin Gin All or part of Roma Region: Roma and surrounds, Tara, St George, Goondiwindi Longreach Barcaldine - Blackall Contract Terms and Conditions Service delivery is expected to commence from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2029
