Overview Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a contractor to carry out upgrades to the hay shed access road and associated drainage improvements at the Emerald Saleyards. Purpose The access road leading in and out of the hay shed is subject to heavy vehicle and equipment use. Upgrading the existing unsealed surface would reduce dust, improve access during wet weather, improve the road's durability under regular operational use, and provide a safer, more reliable working environment. Improved drainage outcomes would also prevent water pooling and reduce ongoing maintenance requirements.
