About this tender
Overview City of Townsville, on behalf of the North Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils (NQROC), is seeking a supplier to deliver processing services for organic and garden organics (GO) material arising from sources within the NQROC region. Purpose The Contract is intended to form a long-term relationship between the Principal and the Supplier that yields continuously improved services, ensures protection of people, assets and the environment, and supports local business, industry and social benefit for the community. Scope Provision of processing services for organic and garden organics (GO) material arising from sources within the NQROC region Information Requested Following processing, Suppliers are required to nominate their preferred arrangement for the processed organics, including any proposed end use, market outlet, or transfer of ownership. Contract Terms and Conditions The procurement process is being centralised for the region, however each Council will hold a separate contract with the Supplier once submissions are evaluated and a supplier is recommended Where the Supplier has a reliable and demonstrated outlet for the processed organics, member Councils may agree to transfer ownership of the material, provided this represents an economical outcome for the Councils Ownership arrangements may vary throughout the term of the Contract in response to the Principal's operational requirements, with any changes discussed with the successful Supplier during the Contract term Instructions to Tenderers This Request for Tender (RFT) is technology agnostic and member Councils have no preference for how organic material is managed under the Contract Suppliers are encouraged to submit a non-conforming proposal if their offering does not fit within the bounds of this RFT Suppliers should consider the ownership and outlet arrangements for processed organics when preparing their pricing submission
