About this tender

This package seeks to engage qualified building certification professionals to support the planning, design, construction, and operational phases of Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues and associated infrastructure. The objective is to ensure all built assets comply with applicable building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the Games lifecycle. The scope of work may include, however is not limited to: • Provision of strategic advice and technical expertise on building certification across permanent/overlay integration and temporary venues, athlete villages, transport hubs, public spaces, etc. • Review and input into design documentation, tender documentation, construction methodologies, and operational plans to ensure building certification. • Provision of building certification for all temporary structures, across competition venues, non-competition venues, training facilities, overlay works and supporting infrastructure. • Assessment of design documentation for compliance with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including the National Construction Code (NCC), Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and local planning schemes. • Issuance of relevant statutory approvals, including development permits, building permits, and occupancy certificates. • Coordination with design teams, contractors, and government authorities to facilitate timely certification and approvals. • Inspection and reporting during construction and fit-out phases to verify compliance and identify rectification requirements. Respondents should demonstrate experience in delivering building certification services for complex, multi-site infrastructure programs, preferably within major event or public sector contexts. Familiarity with Queensland-specific regulatory frameworks and collaborative delivery environments is essential.
