About this tender

This package seeks to engage experienced suppliers for the design, fit-out, and commissioning of large-scale commercial kitchen infrastructure to support the delivery and operation of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Villages. These temporary kitchens will be essential to providing exceptional, high-volume, diverse, and nutritionally balanced meals to athletes, team officials, workforce and contractors 24 hours a day throughout the period of the Games Village occupation and operation. Brisbane 2032 estimates a Village Kitchen requirement across three (3) to five (5) Villages. These kitchens will range in size across the Villages and deliver between 5,000 to 50,000 meals per day at peak. The scope of work may include, however is not limited to: Design, supply, installation, commissioning, and removal of commercial kitchen infrastructure, including: Temporary structures, walls, floors, doors, ceilings etc. Cooking equipment (e.g. ovens, grills, steamers, fryers) suitable for high-throughput service. Refrigeration and cold storage units. Food preparation areas including benches, sinks, dishwashing stations, and dry storage. Food serveries and live stations Power, potable water, grey water, drainage, gas, ventilation, extraction, lighting, fire suppression, and grease management systems. Waste management and recycling systems integrated into kitchen operations. Integration with Village layouts and overlay designs, including coordination with catering operators, village management, logistics teams, and other service providers. Compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards, including food safety regulations, Compliance with relevant Australian Standards, National Construction Code (NCC), and Games-specific technical specifications, with relevant building, safety, and accessibility standards, including WHS regulations, DDA requirements, and temporary structure codes. Operational support services, including: Equipment testing and certification prior to handover. Maintenance and fault response during pre-Games and Gamestime operations. Coordination with food service providers to ensure efficient kitchen workflows. Decommissioning and site restoration post-Games, with consideration for equipment reuse, sustainability, and legacy planning Respondents should demonstrate experience in delivering commercial kitchen solutions for large-scale, multi-site events or infrastructure programs, with proven capability in logistics, compliance, and stakeholder coordination
