Supply and Installation of Slate Roofing Replacement for Government House Tasmania

Overview The Office of the Governor (TAS) is seeking a contractor for the supply and installation of a slate roofing replacement at Government House Tasmania. About The roof of Government House has been assessed as being beyond its serviceable life and requires wholesale replacement. Due to issues associated with poor capacity of gutters and rainwater goods to the central lead roof, an early works package was executed on 11/3/2025 for the separate replacement of the internal roof components. This RFT is intended to address the remainder and bulk of the slate roof and associated details. Purpose The integrated design is part of a performance solution to hydraulic engineering design to account for inherent constraints presented by the historic context of design and construction. Scope The scope includes: Supply and installation of slate roofing replacement covering the remainder and bulk of the slate roof and associated details Integration with sacrificial details at interfaces with the early works lead package, to allow for an integrated roof design Tender Briefing An industry pre-tender briefing session about this RFT and the procurement will be held at Government House.
