Overview Towong Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor for the design and construction of the full reconstruction of two bridges, Structures 25 and 82, in the Burrowye area within the Towong Shire municipality. About Towong Shire Council experienced flash flooding in March 2026, which resulted in the catastrophic failure of the two bridges. Purpose The tender and resulting contract are intended to reinstate both bridges to their pre-flood conditions. Scope The scope includes: Design and construction of the full reconstruction of Bridge Structure 25 Design and construction of the full reconstruction of Bridge Structure 82 Reinstatement of both bridges to pre-flood conditions Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified to undertake design and construction of bridge reconstruction works
