Overview The Industry Capability Network Victoria is inviting businesses to join a movement to increase the participation of women in the construction industry. Contractors, suppliers, training providers, and industry partners are invited to register their interest in supporting this initiative. Purpose Women currently represent a small fraction of the construction workforce. This initiative seeks to grow business support for increasing women's participation in the industry and to build lasting change across the sector. Scope Businesses can contribute in a variety of ways, including: Hiring or creating pathways for women entering the trades Mentoring women who are building their careers in construction Sponsoring training programs or industry events Championing inclusive workplace cultures Partnering on initiatives that make a difference on the ground How to Apply Businesses interested in supporting women's participation in construction, in any way, are invited to register their interest. By registering, businesses will be provided with opportunities on projects seeking women's participation, and the Industry Capability Network may make recommendations to project owners seeking information about ways to support women in construction.
