Overview The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a contractor to carry out verge management works associated with the Noojee Thomson-Toorongo Verge Management project. About DEECA leads Victoria's work to create a sustainable, resilient and prosperous future. The department brings together policy, regulation and program delivery across energy, climate action, biodiversity, water management, forests and emergency preparedness. DEECA partners with industry, communities and government agencies to support innovation, strengthen environmental outcomes and ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy systems. Suppliers engaged through this tender will be contributing to initiatives that help Victoria transition to a low‑emissions economy while protecting and enhancing the state's natural resources. Scope About this Minor Works Technical Specification This combined Minor Works Technical Specification provides guidance to Departmental staff and contractors about operations involving: The scope includes: Vegetation debris management Creation and maintenance of strategic fuel breaks Management of hazardous trees Roadside vegetation management Road clearing and grading Regeneration activities Rehabilitation of forestry infrastructure and assets including landings, snig tracks and roads Contract Terms and Conditions This Specification has been written for use with the Minor Works General Conditions of Contract and the Forest and Fire Management Services Agreement. Where anything in this Technical Specification contradicts the Contract or Agreement, the Contract or Agreement shall take precedence.
