RMH Operating Table Replacement Tender

Overview The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH), part of Melbourne Health, is currently preparing a tender for the replacement of operating tables across its operating theatre suite. This notice is provided to assist suppliers with planning and resource allocation ahead of the formal procurement process. Purpose RMH is seeking a contemporary operating table solution to support a broad range of surgical specialties within a tertiary hospital environment. Scope The project is anticipated to include: Approximately 16 operating tables Bariatric operating table capability Associated accessories and positioning systems Delivery, installation and commissioning User training and education Warranty and ongoing service support Preventative maintenance and lifecycle support options Instructions to Tenderers The following indicative timeline has been provided (all dates are indicative only and subject to change): Indicative tender release: Week commencing 12 October 2026 Tender close: 4 weeks after release date Supplier presentations (if required): November 2026 Product trial: December 2026/January 2027 Contract award: Early 2027 As part of the evaluation process, RMH may invite shortlisted suppliers to participate in clinical demonstrations and product trials.
