About this tender
Overview Murrindindi Shire Council is seeking quotes from suitably qualified contractors to supply and replace three timber pedestrian bridges with steel frame and mini-mesh fiberglass deck bridge structures at the Yea Wetlands tour area, in accordance with the design provided within the RFT documents. Purpose The existing timber bridge structures have been affected by a recent flood event and have been assessed and determined to require replacement. The detailed design for the new bridge structures has been developed to the current Australian standard, using a combination of steel and fiberglass materials. Scope The works will be undertaken within the Yea Wetlands tour area. The bridge replacement works include the following but are not limited to: Site management and supervision Site establishment and mobilising/demobilising as required Provision and implementation of Quality Plans, Environmental Management Plan, Site Health and Safety Coordination Plans, and Safe Work Method Statements Proving the location of existing services and protecting them if required Demolition and disposal of the existing infrastructure as required Excavation and disposal of access material in preparation for installation of the new bridge structures Restoration of disturbed areas and site cleanup All engineering checks and sign off, as required Supply of all plant, equipment, and materials to complete the works in this contract All other works as necessary to complete the works as specified Contractor Requirements All works are to be performed in accordance with the tender specification and carried out in accordance with VicRoads standard specifications unless otherwise covered in the RFT. Where the RFT specification differs, it takes precedence over the VicRoads standard specifications. Instructions to Tenderers Tenderers should review and complete the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) provided with the RFT documents. Council reserves the right to remove any individual line items from the BOQ due to budgetary constraints, and all prices should be completed to reflect this.
