Overview The Shire of Upper Gascoyne is seeking competent licensed plant and labour hire operators (the Plant Hire Contractor) to repair flood-damaged roads under contract AGRN1280. Scope The scope of works typically comprises: Minor clearing Reforming and reconstruction of the road formation Gravel sheeting Maintenance grading Repairs to unsealed and sealed pavements and removal of silt from sealed pavements Reshaping and forming table drains and offshoot drains Repairs and reconstruction of various floodways, including cement stabilised, unsealed and sealed floodways, including rock protection as required Sourcing gravel from borrow pits, including clearing, topsoil stripping, removal of overburden, pushing up and stockpiling gravel and associated rehabilitation Construction and maintenance of turkey's nests associated with nominated water bore sources Various works to obtain water from water bores, natural sources and any other source for road construction purposes The work will involve extensive daily travel on unsealed roads within the Shire of Upper Gascoyne, including travel to extremely remote areas within and surrounding the Shire. Contractor Requirements Operators must be competent and licensed to perform the required works
