The City of Melville (City) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to apply fertiliser (granular) to parks at various locations. The City conducts leaf and tissue analysis to determine fertilising requirements. The City does not guarantee the amount of work, which will be provided as part of this Contract, as a guide the City has applied fertiliser to approximately 180 hectares per year during the last few years. This contract is valid for an initial term of three years with two additional 12-month option periods which will be exercised at the sole discretion of the City. The City will appoint one Contractor for the provision of the Services under the Contract. This contract does not preclude the City from conducting turf fertilising utilising its own resources. For additional items not included in the Pricing Schedule but that fall within the general scope of this Contract and are requested by the City, the Contractor shall provide a written quote to the City for approval. If the City is not satisfied with the quote received, the City reserves the right to request a revision to the quote or engage a contractor outside of this Contract
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
