Burswood Park Board - Burswood Park Foreshore - Stabilisation Stage 2 Zone B

Overview The Department of Housing and Works (WA), on behalf of the Burswood Park Board, is seeking a contractor to undertake Stage 2, Zone B of the Burswood Park Foreshore Stabilisation Project. About The project was initiated to stabilise the foreshore using bioengineering techniques and rock toes, and to improve the biodiversity and amenity of the site. This request relates to the second stage of works along the Burswood Park Foreshore Stabilisation Project. Scope The works shall include the provision of all materials, labour, equipment and cartage as indicated on the drawings and as necessary for the due and proper completion of the works, comprising but not limited to the following: Site preparation and set out, vegetation and fauna management, and surface water and sediment management Clearance, tree and shrub removal and salvaging Nursery coordination and plant quality control Preliminary weed control and ongoing weed management during works activities Earthworks limited to filling, embankment regrading to specified areas and levels, following topsoil reuse and fine grading Management of debris, unconsolidated organic matter, sediments, silts, acid sulphate soils and contaminated soils associated with historic landfill activities in accordance with the Construction and Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) Supply and installation of bioengineering structures and rockwork Location and reconfiguration of existing irrigation, including partial demolition and supply and installation of new laterals and fittings Supply and installation of mowing edging (concrete) Supply and installation of fencing Supply and installation of mulching Installation of planting and advanced trees supplied by the contractor Making good the site and clean up Consolidation maintenance Ongoing long-term maintenance (post Final Completion) in accordance with the Long-Term Maintenance Plan (Syrinx 2026) Plant procurement is excluded from the scope, as this will be undertaken by the client to ensure numbers and species are available at the time of implementation. Nursery coordination regarding delivery times remains the responsibility of the contractor.
