Overview The Shire of East Pilbara is seeking a contracted party to hire a mobile slow speed shredder to reduce the timber stockpile at the Newman Refuse Site. Purpose The objective is to undertake shredding works on an as-needed basis to reduce the existing timber stockpile into a compactable product, while collecting reliable performance and cost data to support future shredding and landfill optimisation planning. Scope The scope includes: Provision of all goods, plant, personnel (where applicable), supervision, documentation, logistics, and reporting necessary to safely and efficiently shred the Newman Refuse Site wood pallet/timber stockpile Supply of all shredder plant and equipment, operator(s), and supervision Servicing, routine maintenance, and breakdown support for the shredder plant and equipment Supply of all consumables required, including fuel Operation of the shredder and achievement of the nominated production program Indicative quantities for tendering purposes Stockpile footprint: Approx. 1.2 – 1.4 ha Average height: Approx. 4 m Volume: Approx. 50,000 cubic metres Indicative mass: Approx. 10,000 tonnes (conservative assumption) Indicative shredding hours: Approx. 500 hours (based on ~20 tonne per hour)
