About The proposed partnership would be collaboratively developed and may include the planning, establishment, delivery, monitoring and adaptive management of coordinated conservation and restoration activities across multiple Pilbara landscapes. A core element of the partnership will be working alongside Traditional Owners to incorporate cultural knowledge, reflect cultural values, and help inform the design, delivery and long-term stewardship of Country. The partnership may commence with one or more priority Pilbara locations and may scale up and into additional areas progressively over time, with potential locations subject to Traditional Owner and partner priorities, approvals and further refinement. Scope Potential activities may include: Threatened species protection and recovery Management of fire, feral predators, large feral herbivores and invasive weeds Habitat restoration and improved ecological connectivity Establishment and management of conservation areas Ecological baseline surveys, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, including fulfilling requirements of regulated nature financing mechanisms (e.g. Nature Repair Market credits, biodiversity offsets) Eligibility This EOI is intended to identify organisations with relevant capability, delivery experience, strategic alignment and interest. It is not a request for a detailed technical or commercial proposal. The scope, locations, governance and delivery model, desired outcomes and implementation pathway would be co-developed with the preferred organisation(s) during a subsequent process. Instructions to Respondents This scope of work is a summary description of goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto and may be subject to change in Rio Tinto's absolute discretion. Your business capability statement, as stored on your portal profile, may be downloaded and referenced when the responses to the expression of interest are reviewed. It is recommended that suppliers review the portal business details section to ensure all information, including contact email address, annual turnover and employee numbers, is current and accurate. As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the supplier(s) will be notified of any changes prior to award.

How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
