SCOPE OF WORKS Preamble: The existing Cape Lambert underground HDPE potable water supply pipeline is failing and is to be replaced with a new MSCL pipeline, ranging in diameter from 500mm to 200mm. The new mains will be a combination of above and below ground mains. There at least 4 remaining pipeline sections to be replaced totalling approximately 5km in length. The intention is to replace 1 of these sections each year. Scope Requirements: Provision of Project management, labour, plant, equipment, goods, materials and temporary works required to deliver complete replacement of Potable water pipeline across both CLA & CLB operating sites, including but not limited to: 1. Supply, installation and commissioning of the Works 2. Undertaking all earthworks activities associated with the works including grubbing, clearing, bulk & civil works and area rehabilitation to allow installation of the pipe 3. Fabrication and installation of the MSCL pipeline, piping and structural components including all associated concrete works; 4. Supply and installation of project specified valves (isolation and special types); 5. All pipeline Tie-in & Commissioning activities to minimise down time to the network 6. On site demolition and remediation of the existing pipeline as specified by the pipe abandonment strategy; 7. Management of all subcontractors related to the Contractors scope of work; 8. Construction waste removal from site.
