About this tender
Overview Aqwest is seeking a Contractor to provide suitably qualified and competent personnel for the provision of road traffic management services. About Aqwest is a West Australian Government Trading Enterprise responsible for providing drinking water to the City of Bunbury and surrounding areas, which includes about 18,000 properties. Aqwest is committed to providing sustainable, high-quality drinking water that consistently meets or exceeds customers' expectations. Aqwest operates an integrated treatment and distribution system, which includes thirteen production bores, six treatment plants, four reservoirs, one large pump station/transfer main, seven booster pump areas, approximately 400km of water reticulation network, and an administration office. These are all designated Aqwest 'Sites'. Purpose Traffic management services are required when working on or near roads and pedestrian walkways to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians and road users. Aqwest currently performs basic traffic management in house and requires the services of a specialist Contractor for all other requirements. Scope The Specification aligns with Main Roads WA and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, Austroads Guides, and applicable Australian Standards. The scope includes: Planned traffic and pedestrian management for projects and daily operations Traffic and pedestrian management for emergency works, both inside and outside normal working hours Assessment and preparation of traffic management plans Gaining of approvals for traffic and pedestrian management Provision of road and pedestrian management on site A full description of the services required under the proposed contract appears in section 1.3, Specification.
