Overview Rio Tinto Limited is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers to provide rail maintenance, renewal, and ancillary equipment on a dry hire basis to support its operational rail network in the Pilbara region. About Rio Tinto requires supplemental rail maintenance, renewal, and ancillary equipment to support its operational rail network in the Pilbara region, primarily Tom Price and Karratha. The Contractor will provide dry hire equipment, with the potential inclusion of support services such as fitters, to ensure the continuity and efficiency of maintenance, renewal, and project-based rail activities. Scope The scope includes: Supply of rail maintenance, rail renewal, and ancillary equipment on a dry hire basis Equipment types may include, but are not limited to, excavators, loaders, forklifts, buses, graders, watercarts, trucks and trailers, hi-rail vehicles, and other specialist rail plant Provision of qualified fitters or technical support staff, if requested by Rio Tinto Availability of equipment for use across Rio Tinto's rail network, with primary deployment at Tom Price and Karratha Equipment may be required for routine and statutory maintenance, rail renewal programs, project-based works, and inspections and major maintenance campaigns Contractor Requirements All equipment must meet Rio Tinto's safety, compliance, and operational standards Instructions to Respondents The scope of work described is a summary of the goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto. As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, suppliers will be notified of any changes prior to award. Your EOI response may be referenced or re-used in the next six months if a similar scope of work is required by Rio Tinto.
