Overview The Town of Port Hedland is seeking a multidisciplinary design team to develop the Aquatic Centre and associated precinct in South Hedland through a traditional, linear design development process. Scope The scope includes: Design development of an Aquatic Centre comprising approximately 1,250m² of internal accommodation and 4,390m² of external aquatic and recreation facilities Design of a minimum of 420 car parking bays Design of front-of-house functions including reception and administration, flexible meeting and training spaces, a café, crèche, communications and cleaning facilities Design of a comprehensive changing village incorporating family, accessible and Changing Places amenities Design of a pool office with oversight of all water bodies Design of a first aid room with direct pool and ambulance access Design of substantial internal and external storage areas Design of dedicated wet and dry plant rooms Design of a 50m x 25m, 10-lane competition pool capable of supporting water polo Design of a 20m x 10m learn-to-swim warm water pool Design of a leisure water and splash play area Design of spectator facilities for approximately 200 people Design of extensive pool concourse areas Design of landscaped recreation space and associated parking infrastructure
