This Tender is invited by the Issuer. We are seeking a motivated Cyber GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) Specialist to strengthen the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s (DCCEEW) cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance capabilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the Department’s security posture aligns with regulatory obligations, industry standards, and business objectives. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, external partners, and stakeholders involved in uplifting legacy Department of the Environment and Energy (DoEE) infrastructure. In this role, you will help manage cyber risk, support compliance initiatives, and drive continuous improvement of security governance frameworks across a complex and evolving environment. Key aspects of the role include: Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Department’s cyber governance framework Contributing to risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, and treatment planning Supporting compliance against Australian Government frameworks such as PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight Assisting in audit and assurance activities across ICT systems and programs Engaging with stakeholders to uplift security maturity across both legacy and modern platforms Providing input into reporting, dashboards, and governance forums to support decision-making This role requires the ability to operate in a dynamic environment, manage competing priorities, and contribute to both strategic and operational outcomes.
