The Role The Integration Support Specialist is a hybrid business analysis and hands-on API/ETL development role responsible for translating business and data requirements into reliable, secure and reusable integration solutions. The role works across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery, process and data analysis, requirements definition and source-to-target mapping through to pipeline development, testing, deployment, monitoring and operational support. The Integration Support Specialist works closely with business analysts to refine business needs into developer-ready integration requirements. The role jointly documents API user stories, acceptance criteria, functional and non-functional requirements, interface behaviours, payloads, validation rules, error responses, security requirements, dependencies and data mappings. It provides the technical integration perspective needed to ensure requirements are feasible, testable, traceable and sufficiently detailed for developers, testers and support teams. The role also develops and maintains ETL and ELT workflows using approved integration, database and scheduling tools, applying sound engineering, security, data quality and support practices.
