Overview The Australian Submarine Agency's Technical Enterprise is seeking professional services to support workforce capability development and assurance through competency mapping, training needs analysis and job profiling activities aligned to the Nuclear Engineering Science and Technology (NEST) Competency Framework. Purpose These activities will establish a clear line of sight between Technical Enterprise roles, competency requirements and learning pathways, supporting the development and sustainment of a workforce of Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) capable of meeting current and future capability requirements. Scope The scope includes: Job Profiling Review, consolidate and develop Technical Enterprise job profiles and position descriptions, creating a structured and consistent suite of role profiles that clearly define the competencies required for personnel to be considered Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) Competency Mapping Review and validate Technical Enterprise job profiles and existing competencies against the NEST Competency Framework Map competencies to current education, training and professional development offerings to establish clear learning pathways and identify which competencies are developed through each course or activity Assess the suitability, completeness and relevance of existing competencies and produce a framework that enables competencies to be consistently linked to learning offerings Develop a methodology, guidance and supporting tools to enable Technical Enterprise personnel to undertake competency mapping activities internally where training content cannot be externally reviewed due to security requirements Training Needs Analysis Conduct a training needs analysis based on the competency mapping outcomes to identify gaps in existing education, training and professional development offerings Identify competencies that are not adequately supported by current learning pathways Provide recommendations for the development, enhancement or procurement of learning solutions required to support workforce capability growth and sustainment Enquiries Buyer contact: rachel.kane1@defence.gov.au
