Overview The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts is seeking to engage a suitably qualified vendor to deliver the Records Management Modernisation Project, including implementation of the proposed solution. Purpose The Department has a fragmented and ageing records environment and is seeking a vendor that can deliver an integrated, practical and implementation-ready solution that addresses this environment through a progressive migration approach, while supporting controlled retirement, archive, quarantine or retention of legacy platforms and content where required. Scope The scope includes: Delivery of an integrated, practical and implementation-ready records management solution addressing the Department's fragmented and ageing records environment Delivery of a progressive migration approach for existing records and content Controlled retirement, archive, quarantine or retention of legacy platforms and content where required Delivery of a NAA-aligned enterprise information and records management capability using Microsoft 365 and Purview as the primary content and information governance platform, being the Department's preferred baseline Supplementary records or information governance capability where necessary to meet requirements not fully addressed by the Microsoft 365 baseline Contractor Requirements Provide an implementation-ready proposal demonstrating how the required capability will be delivered Demonstrate how migration and legacy treatment risks will be managed Demonstrate how Commonwealth records obligations will be met Demonstrate how the solution will be transitioned into sustainable business-as-usual operations
