About this tender
Overview The Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), through the National Measurement Institute (NMI), is seeking professional services to support planning and readiness activities for the NMI PROTECTED Uplift Project. The project forms part of NMI's broader ICT Transformation Program and aims to support the transition of NMI services from its current hybrid OFFICIAL and PROTECTED environment to a consolidated PROTECTED operating environment, while maintaining support for NMI's specialised scientific and laboratory operations. Scope The successful supplier will provide specialist advisory, architecture, business analysis and implementation planning services to: Review existing discovery, architecture and roadmap artefacts Assess applications, infrastructure, networks, data holdings and operational dependencies affected by the transition to PROTECTED Develop an Application Relocation Strategy and Data Migration Strategy Assess and enhance operating model arrangements to support NMI-specific business and laboratory requirements within a PROTECTED environment Identify and analyse technical, operational, security and business dependencies Develop migration sequencing, cutover approaches and implementation readiness plans Produce governance-ready recommendations, implementation planning artefacts and readiness assessments to support future investment and implementation decisions The engagement is focused on planning, discovery, analysis, design and implementation readiness activities only. Delivery of the actual migration, infrastructure deployment, application remediation and transition activities is out of scope and may form part of a future procurement. Objectives Expected outcomes include an implementation-ready roadmap, a clear understanding of risks and dependencies, an agreed future-state operating model, and evidence-based recommendations to support governance and implementation decision-making. Contractor Requirements Demonstrated experience in Australian Government ICT transformation initiatives Experience working in secure environments Experience in enterprise and solution architecture Experience in migration planning Experience in operating model design Experience in stakeholder engagement Experience in governance support Experience with Commonwealth security frameworks, including PSPF, ISM, Essential Eight and IRAP considerations, will be highly regarded Enquiries Buyer contact: ICTSourcing@industry.gov.au
